No doubt I've been influenced by fashion trends when it comes to my spring style inspiration, as we all no doubt have been. From leek green to love bird, green is the dominant colour of 2023. So it's no surprise to me that these colours are also dominating my current wardrobe right now.
Finding a colour palette I enjoy wearing (and can stick to!) has been difficult. There's something about green that's just so wearable, and I never seem to tire of it - unlike other colours I've experimented with in the past! It's become most noticeable in this season's outfit inspiration.
I'm most fond of punchy lime shades, the kind that really stand out and are hard to ignore. So in my own style of dopamine dressing, I've incorporated a few pieces in varying degrees of lime hues into my wardrobe - from knitwear to shoes. All these items have been thrifted online from my favourite brands.
Bright hues are a great choice for adding flashes of colour in the small details of an outfit, like socks and accessories. They also look fantastic when worn as a block of colour in a statement piece; knitwear and scarves work particularly well.
Spring and summer are my two favourite seasons. Winters feel bleak to me, and I'm worn down by the short rainy days. I want to breathe some life into my wardrobe by reflecting all the new growth happening outside. I love an all-black outfit but after months of wearing them, a spark of colour is much needed.
I'm keeping my outfits laidback and easy to wear yet reflective of my personal style. I want to add more fun standout pieces, whether that's in clothing or accessories. The playful element of my personal style got a little lost in recent years; TikTok has helped me rediscover that playfulness.
When it comes to what I'll be wearing in spring, I'm seeing a lot of the same outfits popping up in my style inspiration moodboard. Maxi skirts, oversized shirts, knits over dresses, and bold accessories. Most of which is already in my wardrobe so just requires a little styling to recreate outfits.
I have a whole new range of spring jewellery with fun enamel necklaces designed to be layered with minimal chains. They're perfect for adding a playful touch to paired down looks, or layering for a burst of colour.
